July 2021 Litters, Links, and Ultrasound Results

The ultrasounds on Kimiko and Bella revealed Bella is on track to whelp on July 15th, but Kimiko breeding was not successful. For more info on this see the June 2021 Newsletter at http://shibas.dog/newsletters.html.

The Daily Weights Spreadsheet is updated and online. The spreadsheet shows dam temps and weights leading up to the day the puppies are born, then tracks the puppy daily weights, shows evaluation and go home dates.

The live cameras link is active. Some of them are offline, but expect to see new cams come online as the whelp date of July 15th gets closer.

The Bella Charlie Litter Shomaisou Shiba Inu Facebook Album will be created soon.

Shomaisou Shiba Inu May 2021 Newsletter

Shomaisou Shiba Inu May 2021 Newsletter is out.

Kimiko Alpha Litter - We have completed the health clearances on Kimiko. A breeding was completed 5/13/2021 with a July 15th due date. Progeny projection is all red and maybe a cream.

Bella Charlie Litter - Breeding was completed 5/13/2021with the Guccifer X Bella Charlie Litter. Due date is 7/15. Progeny projection are red or black and tan. No cream.

Michi Bravo Litter - Michi is projected to come in season again July 4^th. We are evaluating outside sires for her Bravo Litter.

Aki Alpha Litter - Clearances for Aki will be completed in May. We will delay breeding until her next season, projected as middle of October 2021 with litter approximately New Years. We are evaluating sires for her Alpha

Good Dog Partnership with HODSF on Shiba Inu Glaucoma Genetic Study

The Heart of Dixie Shiba Fanciers joins Good Dog as an official Club Partner in the Good Dog Club Partnership Program. See the Press Release.

Fundraising - What is the "Shiba Inu Glaucoma Genetic Study" and how can I help?
Sample Submissions - The study needs blood and eye exams for the study. An overview of the study can be found on the PennVet lab website under the "Glaucoma Study" tab.
How long will the study last? The goal is to get most of the dogs enrolled in the study in the next 12-24 months.

Shomaisou Shiba Inu April 2021 Newsletter

Shomaisou Shiba Inu April 2021 Newsletter is out.

We are not expecting any new litters at this time. Four (4) litters are being planned Spring/Summer 2021.

Kimiko Alpha Litter - We have completed the health clearances on Kimiko. We are evaluating sires for her Alpha Litter. She came in season 4/29/21 so we will likely breed her mid May, litter due mid July.

Bella Charlie Litter - We expect to breed Bella to Guccifer.

Michi Bravo Litter - On 4/8/21Guccifer X Michi Bravo Litter was confirmed with an x-ray as unsuccessful. Michi is projected to come in season again July 4^th. We are evaluating outside sires for her Bravo Litter.

Aki Alpha Litter - Clearances for Aki will be completed in May. She came in season April 17^th so we will have to wait until her next season to breed, projected as middle of October 2021 with litter approximately New Years. We are evaluating sires for her Alpha Litter.
